from the Rhine, fights in vain, the rout is complete;
the battlefield is covered with corpses;

are taken prisoners, and the French enter Neumarck and Freissels, where they find 4000 quintaux of flour, an important quantity of spirits and oats; the desperate enemy had burned their remaining stores.
