7 Ventôse X Birth of Victor Hugo. This is 26 February 1802 in the Gregorian calendar, therefore the XIXth century was 14 months old, barely more than one year. Yet, Victor Hugo wrote about his birth: "Ce siècle avait deux ans" (this century was two years old). That proves that he was better at litterature than at mathematics.
