Battle of Arcole: this memorable battle
lasted for three days; its issue was decided on 27th
when the Arcole village was taken and the enemy
was expelled from it and pursued until
Bonifacio;
there were 4,000 killed, the same number wounded, from 4,000
to 5,000 prisoners, including 57 officers;
the enemy lost 4 flags, 18 guns, many caissons, etc.
